AI-Accelerated Shopify Development: Launch Enterprise Roadmaps 10x Faster

The Anatta Agentic Operating System pairs senior Shopify architects with an integrated agentic framework — eliminating table-stakes development so your budget goes toward high-impact growth strategy.

Our best people on the decisions that compound. Our agentic system on everything that doesn’t.

Three layers of an operating system: the decisions a person owns on top, collaborating agents in the middle, and the commodity execution the system absorbs below

eCommerce development is slow, costly, and rigid.

For merchants, that means hard compromises and risky bets. It’s the same four conversations at every brand we talk to.

Do we risk months on a replatform that may not accomplish our goals? Or take a stop-gap that just delays the inevitable?

Transformation projects run for months with no guaranteed outcome. Every day and every dollar is spent ahead of validation, not after it.

We scoped this redesign around last year’s customer. Will it still be right by go-live?

Consumer preference moves faster than a build cycle. An entire quarter of work can be redundant before it ships.

Why are my best engineers spending their sprints on promo banners instead of the replatform?

Senior people context-switch between complex work and commodity work all day. What gets squeezed out is the deeper problem-solving you hired them for.

We hired an agency to move faster. So why am I re-explaining the requirements for a third time?

And bringing in an agency isn’t the magic bullet you got sold.

We’ve spent the last two years solving this.

The shift

An operating system, not another AI tool.

An agentic operating system is software that orchestrates AI agents and human judgment to take delivery work from scope to shipped in weeks, not quarters. Anatta built one — the Anatta Agentic Operating System — and it’s the methodology behind everything on this page.

The distinction matters. Most AI in this industry is a collection of single tools used in silos by individual people. An app on your phone is a tool. The operating system is what makes every app work together as one system.

Read the full definition → What Is an Agentic Operating System?

We’ve distilled our areas of expertise — experience design, Shopify architecture, front-end engineering, QA — into agents and tools that connect. Our agents collaborate, act on requests, carry context across a project, and hand work between each other without a human re-briefing them each time.

What that buys you isn’t cheaper hours. It’s a fundamentally different allocation of who does what: our senior strategists, architects, and designers own every decision that compounds, and the system absorbs the execution that used to eat their week.

A tool is used by one person for one task. An operating system is what makes every tool work as one.

Our outcomes

What changes once table-stakes execution stops setting the pace of your roadmap.

Speed

10x+

Faster roadmaps

The table-stakes half of a build stops consuming calendar time, so a roadmap that used to run a quarter or two ships inside a month or two.

3–6 months 3–6 weeks

Quality

35%

Boost in launch quality

SEO preservation, site speed, and accessibility are measured against your live baseline on every build — the checks that get quietly dropped when a launch date tightens.

Spot-checked QA Every build, every pass

Flexibility

78%

More roadmap flexibility

When commodity execution isn’t the constraint, changing your mind mid-quarter costs a conversation instead of a change order and a reset timeline.

Scope locked at kickoff Re-scope in-sprint

Five things that work differently now.

01

Velocity scaled. Then scaled again.

Anatta’s unified intelligence system accelerates throughput to an unmatched degree — while measurably raising the quality of the work our clients receive. Faster and better are usually a trade. Here they aren’t.

02

Accurate requirements, from the first conversation.

Most agency rework traces back to a requirement nobody wrote down. From first call through launch analysis, our system captures and shapes PRDs in seconds — so what gets built is what you asked for, and what exists today doesn’t quietly disappear in the rebuild.

03

Adaptability at (almost) the speed of a Slack message.

Months of project planning can’t account for hindsight, and rework is expensive. Our operating model solves for both — absorbing a change in direction without disrupting momentum or renegotiating the timeline.

04

Quality measured before, during, and after launch.

Every launch meets the same standards the Anatta name has always carried. SEO preservation, site speed, accessibility, confidence ratings — measured against your live baseline, not a benchmark we picked. And QA isn’t a sprint at the end; it runs the length of the project.

05

Strategic partners — in name and in practice.

We’ve always liked the hard problems. The difference now is that time which used to go to low-impact Jira tickets goes to those problems instead. You get more of the Anatta thinking that historically moved the needle, and less of the Anatta hours that simply kept the lights on.

Where your budget actually goes.

The clearest way to explain the difference is to show the same project run two ways.

Traditional Shopify agencies 3–6 month timelines. Sprints bogged down by manual boilerplate code and QA backlogs. 50% of budget wasted. Capital spent on routine ticket resolution and basic front-end setups. The Anatta AI OS approach 3–6 week launches. Agentic execution automates table-stakes tasks; human architects own the strategy. 60% strategic value. 55% of execution time moves straight to innovation, CRO, and growth strategy.
Project timeline 3–6 months 3–6 weeks
Planningrequirements, discovery 30% 15%
Table-stakes execution 50% 5%
QA & launch 10% 10%
Post-launch optimization 5% 10%
Innovation & growth strategy 5% 60%
How success is measured Jira ticket completions and billable hours Outcomes
When something needs to change mid-project Fire drills that derail the timeline and inflate the budget “Let’s do it.” Our operating model enables adaptability rather than constraining it
How AI is used Tools augment some workflows, used by individuals in silos. An agency may sell AI services like AEO/GEO visibility. Little to no business-wide, measurable value A unified system across the full delivery lifecycle, with agents that share context and hand work between each other

Read the two execution rows together. Half of a conventional project is table-stakes engineering — work that is genuinely necessary and genuinely commoditized. That’s the half we automated. The 55 points it frees up don’t disappear from your invoice. They move to innovation and growth strategy.

The system executes. People decide.

This is the part we’re most careful about. An agentic system is only as trustworthy as the boundaries around it — so here is exactly where a human being owns the outcome, on every engagement, without exception:

UX & conversionwhat the experience should be and why
Site performancethe architecture decisions that determine it
Technical architecturehow the system is built to last
Complex judgment and decision-makingevery trade-off with a business consequence
Quality assurance and final approvalnothing ships without it

No agent makes a live change to your storefront. No agent publishes code without Anatta review and approval. All work goes to GitHub, so anything can be rolled back.

The Anatta Shopify Horizon Theme Sprint

Our system shapes and supports a rapid Shopify Horizon migration. From the first conversation it builds the PRD and migration plan and identifies risk, then carries all of that context forward through architecture, development, QA, and launch — so nothing is re-explained at a handoff and nothing gets lost between one.

Our experts stay accountable where the value is created: UX and conversion, site performance, architecture, complex judgment, and final approval.

The result is a faster path to Horizon, less rework, greater merchandising independence, and a storefront built to support the business as it grows.

One context, carried end to end
  1. First conversation. The PRD and migration plan take shape as you talk.
  2. Risk identified. What breaks, what it costs, before anyone commits.
  3. Architecture. Our solution architects decide; the context comes with them.
  4. Development. Commodity execution absorbed, senior review on every change.
  5. QA. Running the length of the project, not bolted on at the end.
  6. Launch. Measured against your live baseline, approved by a person.

Questions we get asked.

How is the Anatta Agentic Operating System different from other AI products and services?

It isn’t a product. It’s how our company operates.

Most AI in this industry is a set of single tools that don’t talk to each other. An app on your phone is a tool; the OS is what unifies every app into one coherent system. We’ve distilled our expertise — experience design, Shopify development, architecture, QA — into agents and tools that connect. They collaborate, act on requests, and recall context across a project.

The practical effect is that we reach the “best practice” baseline far faster, and spend the time we save on growth.

What will Anatta do with my business data?

Our system has no access to personally identifiable information, and cannot gain access to it at any point before, during, or after an engagement. The system is built with strict guardrails so that no agent can reach information beyond what that agent is permitted.

Our agents do have access to theme code, brand guidelines, meeting transcripts, and project-critical documents like PRDs. No agent can modify or push code without human review. We’ll walk your security team through the full architecture on request.

How can I trust the results?

Every engagement is still strategized and reviewed by our team. And rather than slotting QA into a sprint near the end of a project, QA runs throughout. Because the system absorbs the repetitive execution, our QA team spends its time on more strenuous testing — not less.

What happens if an agent hallucinates or creates chaos across my site?

It can’t reach your site. No agent makes live changes without human review, and no agent’s work is published without Anatta’s approval. All code goes to GitHub, so anything can be rolled back cleanly.

Does this mean Anatta is delegating the work to a machine, or becoming a smaller consultancy with fewer experts?

No. Nearly every knowledge-based role is asking a version of “is AI going to replace me?” Our answer is that it unlocks our team to think strategically, push further on innovation, and spend more time on the deeper problems our clients face. The expertise you’re buying is the same. There’s just more of it pointed at work that matters.

Is Anatta using AI just to stay on trend?

No. We built this to do more, and to do it faster.

eCommerce development reinvents the same wheel constantly, which meant brands were paying our team for table-stakes execution instead of strategic value. We flipped that. We’ve always approached new technology with healthy skepticism and an open mind — AI tools have been on the market since roughly 2022, and it’s only now that we believe they unlock real value for our team and our clients. We use them to remove repetitive, low-impact work so we can spend our time on the seven-figure innovations that grow a brand.
